O-ring specification tolerance and compression
Pay attention to the tolerance of O-ring specifications. There are two kinds of general tolerance, one is inner diameter tolerance and the other is wire diameter tolerance. The tolerance is related to the size of the product. The smaller the size, the smaller the tolerance.
Then, we also need to pay attention to the compression amount of O-ring. The compression amount of O-ring is a relatively major parameter. Once it is not selected properly, it will lead to poor sealing or too tight during use.
How to select the appropriate compression amount? The compression amount is closely related to the material and hardness of O-ring. For example, if the hardness of O-ring is 70 degrees, then the compression amount is 20%. Generally, the greater the hardness, the greater the compression amount, the compression amount depends on the application.
