Commonly used raw materials for oil seals

Commonly used oil seal materials are: nitrile rubber, fluorine rubber, silicone rubber, acrylic rubber, polyurethane, PTFE and so on.

When choosing the material of the oil seal, it is necessary to consider the compatibility of the material to the working medium, the adaptability to the range of the operating temperature and the ability of the lip to follow the rotation of the rotating shaft at high speed. When the general oil seal works, the lip temperature is higher than the working medium temperature 20~50 degrees, and should be paid attention to when choosing the oil seal material.

The working range of the oil seal is related to the material used for the oil seal: the material is NBR (NBR), -40~120 DEG C, FPM (ACM), -30~180 DEG C, and -25~300.
